Fraud Operations Specialist (f/m/x)

YOUR ROLE

• As part of the customer support team, you will lead investigations into customer complaints related to potential fraud.
• You will develop and refine policies and processes for handling fraud cases, ensuring a streamlined and efficient approach that aligns with the fast-paced nature of the B2C fintech environment.
• You will evaluate each case meticulously to determine if customers should be reimbursed, based on evidence and internal policies.
• You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including legal, finance, product, data, to ensure a holistic approach to fraud prevention and resolution.
• You will provide insights and recommendations to the product and data teams to enhance security features, detect patterns, and prevent future fraudulent activities.
• You will monitor fraud patterns and trends, proactively identifying new threats and proposing solutions to mitigate risks.
• You will be responsible for independently exploring and analyzing data sources (SQL skills are essential for this role) to detect and investigate suspicious activity.
• You will act as a key point of contact within the Operations team, coordinating cross-functional efforts to improve fraud prevention measures.
  
  
  

YOUR PROFILE

• You have prior experience in fraud investigation, especially in a B2C environment, ideally within the fintech industry.
• You are available full-time and can adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• You have strong analytical & technical skills and a problem-solving mindset, with a keen attention to detail.
• You are proficient in English and have excellent communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
• You have experience in exploring and analyzing data using SQL, with the ability to identify trends and patterns.
• You have a background in fintech or a similar industry, which helps you quickly understand our products and processes.
• You have experience in developing and refining policies and processes related to fraud prevention, with a proactive approach to minimizing risks.
• PLUS: Experience with fraud detection software, machine learning models, or other advanced anti-fraud tools is a big advantage.
