Operational (60%)
Preparing payroll and coordinating with external tax advisors, maintaining master data in Personio.
Creating employment contracts, reference letters, and other HR-relevant documents.
Managing personnel files and ensuring they are up to date and complete.
Primary contact for health and pension insurance providers as well as other service providers.
Supporting international colleagues with integration in Germany (e.g., visa matters, communication with immigration offices, etc.).
Compliance and labor law: Ensuring compliance with employment law regulations and implementing policies and procedures.
Employee relations and conflict management: Point of contact for employees with questions, conflicts, or problems.
Recruiting: Application management and pre-selection, coordination with external service providers.
Strategic (40%)
Strategic workforce planning: Developing and implementing long-term HR strategies that support the company’s business goals.
Employee development & retention: Implementing programs for employee development, training opportunities, and retention initiatives.
Performance management: Developing and implementing a system for regular performance reviews and employee development.
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
3-5 years of professional experience in a generalist HR role.
Strong knowledge of employment law and its practical application.
Ability to think outside the box and align HR strategies with business objectives.
Passion for working with and advising employees and leadership.
Self-image as a cultural ambassador within the company.
Confident in using tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and HRIS (ideally Personio).
Fluent English skills (English is the internal company language). Good German skills (minimum B2) are a plus for working with external contacts.
