We are looking for an experienced Head of Health Insurance to build, lead, and scale our health insurance offering with a strong focus on public (GKV) and private health insurance (PKV). You will own the end-to-end sales strategy for health insurance products, drive sustainable revenue growth across all distribution channels, and ensure full compliance with insurance regulatory requirements in a fast-growing, performance-driven environment.
Build, lead, and continuously develop the insurance organization across the group
Define and execute the overarching strategy in alignment with company objectives
Drive revenue growth across all insurance product lines (e.g. public, private, liability)
Own revenue forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking
Establish scalable structures, processes, and incentive models
Ensure full regulatory compliance, including adherence to §34d GewO and all insurance distribution regulations
Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Compliance teams
Act as a strategic sparring partner for the executive team on all insurance-related topics
Manage key partnerships, agents, and strategic accounts
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
Lead and develop health insurance leaders and teams through coaching, training, and performance management
7-10 years of experience in insurance, ideally in fast-growing, digital, or multi-entity organizations
Proven leadership experience in building and scaling high-performing teams
Valid §34d GewO insurance license (mandatory)
Deep understanding of insurance products, distribution models, and regulatory requirements
Strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability
Track record of successfully implementing and scaling strategies and structures
Experience in post-merger integration or transformation environments is a strong plus
Strong analytical skills with experience in sales KPIs, forecasting, and CRM systems
Excellent communication and negotiation skills at C-level
Fluent in English; German is highly preferred
